# Configure your power meter

All of the settings need to be set **before** using your kayak power meter for the first time. Additionally, one or more of the settings may require **updating** whenever you:

* change the location of your hands along the shaft
* change your blade twist angle
* change your overall paddle length
* attach a new set of blades

The settings can be set using the [Web Bluetooth App](/general/web-bluetooth-app.md), specifically the <https://app.onegiantleap.co.nz/configuration> page.
